Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson stars as Hercules.


This new action suspense film stars Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman.

Writer/director Luc Besson has created some of cinemas toughest, most memorable female action heroes of recent years including "La Femme Nikita," "The Professional" and "The Fifth Element." In this new action thriller, Johansson plays a woman kidnapped by drug lords. They accidentally unlock the power of her brain, giving her unlimited mental and fighting abilities. Becoming a merciless warrior, she turns the tables on her captors and takes her own deadly revenge.

"Lucy" starts Friday nationally, including at the Luxury 5 Cinemas. 88 minutes. It's rated R for strong violence, disturbing images and sexuality.

Fourteen hundred years ago, a tormented soul that was neither man nor god walked the Earth. Hercules, powerful son of the god king Zeus, received nothing but suffering his entire life. After the loss of his family, he turned his back on the gods, finding his only solace in battle. He teamed with six similar souls, their only bond being their love of fighting and the presence of death. These men and woman never question where, why or who they fight, only how much they will be paid. Knowing this, the king of Thrace has hired these mercenaries to train his men to become the greatest army of all time. Hercules begins to question the king's motives when he sees his army practice on innocent men, women and children. Something stirs deep inside Hercules, but can he stop the king and his army of the damned from marching across Greece -- or even Olympus itself?

"Hercules" starts Friday nationally including at the Luxury 5 Cinemas. 99 minutes. It's rated PG-13 for epic battle sequences, violence, suggestive comments, brief strong language and partial nudity.


Walt Disney's new family adventure comedy is about a fire fighting airplane and second chances.

When world-famous air racer Dusty (voice of Dane Cook) learns that his engine is damaged and he may never race again, he must shift gears and is launched into the world of aerial firefighting. Dusty joins forces with elite firefighters dedicated to protecting Piston Peak National Park from wildfires. The crew includes veteran fire and rescue helicopter Blade Ranger and his courageous team, including spirited super scooper Dipper (voice of Julie Bowen), heavy-lift helicopter Windlifter, ex-military transport Cabbie and a lively bunch of brave all-terrain vehicles known as The Smokejumpers. Together, the fearless team battles a massive wildfire, and Dusty learns what it takes to become a real hero.

"Planes: Fire and Rescue" is held over. 84 minutes. It's rated PG for action and some peril.


This outrageous new comedy stars Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel.

When Jay (Segel) and Annie (Diaz) first got married, their romantic connection was intense, but 10 years and two kids later, the flame of their love needs a spark. To kick things back up, they decide to make a video of themselves trying out every position in "The Joy of Sex" in one marathon three-hour session. It seems like a great idea -- until they discover that they accidentally emailed their most private video to all their friends and family. With their reputations on the line, they race to reclaim their video from everyone's computer. This leads to a hilarious night of surprises.

"Sex Tape" is held over. 94 minutes. It's rated R for strong sexual content, nudity, language and some drug use.


This new action picture is a sequel to last year's surprise hit, "The Purge," about a crime-ridden America of the near future where one night of the year, all crimes, including murder, are legal.

It's a new year and a couple are driving home to their kids when their car runs out of gas just as the Purge begins. Meanwhile, another father goes out into the streets to get revenge on the man who killed his son, and a mother and daughter run from their home after assailants destroy it. The five people meet up as they attempt to survive the night in Los Angeles.

"Purge: Anarchy" is held over through Thursday, July 24. 103 minutes. It's rated R for strong disturbing violence, and for language.
