Poetry, self-publishing events set at Dakota Discovery Museum on July 12
From 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on July 12, at the Dakota Discovery Museum in Mitchell, the South Dakota State Poetry Society is having an open mic program.
If you would like to read, show up and sign up. From past experience, 20-25 people can read in an hour and a half, if everyone keeps themselves to three to five minutes. People are also welcome to attend the 5 p.m. potluck and the SDSPS annual meeting. Lawrence Diggs, a museum board members, is conducting a workshop on self-publishing July 12-13 at the museum.
