Desperado Days will have Kimball fired up this weekend

KIMBALL -- Fun, games and entertainment will abound in Kimball during Desperado Days this weekend.

Today begins with an adult triathalon, with sign-up at the swimming pool between 7 and 8 a.m. The triathalon begins at 8:30 a.m. There will also be a kiddie triathalon.

Kids' activities will span the day from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

A horseshoes tournament, quick draw contest, old time costume contest and mounted shooting will span the early afternoon.

Organized kids' activities include a Frisbee toss, barrels, poles, keyhole race, egg race, boot race and candy scramble.

Starfire will perform in the beer garden at 9 a.m. and a Texas hold 'em tournament at 10 p.m.

Sunday will bring a cowboy church service at the rodeo grounds. The Kimball Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor a French toast breakfast from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The Texas hold 'em finals will end the fun at 1 p.m. in the beer garden.
