LETTER: Funny how classic MVPs are chosen
To the Editor:
We attended all seven games of the Dakota Wesleyan University Culver’s Boys’ Basketball Classic held on Feb. 15 in the Corn Palace. After every game, there was chosen a most valuable player of each game. Everyone was asked to stay seated, and both teams stayed on the floor. It was then announced who received it.
In every game except one, the player who was chosen was from the winning team. It was really ironic that the only MVP that was from a losing team was also a kid who — word has it — has a verbal commitment with DWU. Funny how things like that work.
