Andes Central’s Florey hoping to bounce back from injuries
LAKE ANDES — Even though Andes Central senior Connor Florey hasn’t competed in a track meet for six weeks, he’s still gearing up for the Class B state track tournament that starts Friday in Rapid City.
Florey pulled his right hamstring twice about two weeks into the season and hasn’t been able to compete since.

Platte-Geddes's Girton looking to defend state high jump title; Wagner’s Medicine Horn looking to hold top spot
Two area track athletes are setting very high standards heading into the Class A state meet Friday in Spearfish.
Platte-Geddes’ Destinni Girton and Wagner’s LaShawn Medicine Horn finished in the top two spots at last year’s state girls’ high jump. Girton took the championship medal at the year-end meet in Sioux Falls.
