It’s safe to say Dawson Jandreau’s life revolves around rodeo.
The Kennebec native traveled to rodeos with his parents when he was a child and when he got older, he started competing in rodeos himself. Jandreau is just 21 years old, but he already has an impressive cowboy resume and is looking to add to it this summer.
PUEBLO, Colo. — Sunday afternoon it was announced that Dawson Jandreau was the 2009 National High School Finals Rodeo saddle bronc champion in Farmington, N.M. By Monday afternoon he was already more than 300 miles away, ready to compete at another big rodeo.
Jandreau, of Kennebec, won the national title in his first time ever competing at the NHSFR. He said Monday from Pueblo, Colo., that winning the national title was exciting.
