It’s rare that we succumb to the phrase “student-athlete.” Some institutions insist upon using it, but we rarely do, considering it repetitive. After all, everybody knows all athletes in high school and college are, indeed, students.
So far this year, there are more students open enrolling into the Mitchell School District than are leaving.
Superintendent Joe Graves told the Mitchell Board of Education on Monday night during its regularly scheduled meeting at the middle school that 85 students have open enrolled into the district, while 66 students residing in the district are open enrolling to other districts.
“That’s a good result,” Graves said.
