Q: Since the one-way-street controversy has been put to rest, I note the city’s street department has painted arrows at some of the intersections of the affected streets — a well-appreciated effort.
As a resident I have no question of the meaning of these arrows; however, if I were in a town I was not accustomed to, I may have second thoughts. Does this mean I should only go straight ahead, or do I have the option of turning right or left?
I attended the chamber-sponsored form at MTI on May 15 which involved school board and county treasurer candidates and a ballot issue regarding a resolution passed by the City Council to change one-way streets to two-way.
Mr. Toomey’s view of my introduction of council members present at the employee banquet is certainly different than mine. Mr. Toomey views my comments as giving a campaign speech in support of Ken Tracy.
