The Davison County commissioners are considering a backup property in case the county’s $500,000 offer for the Central Electric cooperative building on North Main Street is not accepted.
After Tuesday’s regular meeting at the courthouse in Mitchell, Auditor Susan Kiepke joined commissioners David Weitala and John Claggett for a tour of buildings at 400 N. Rowley St., which formerly housed Muth Electric’s corporate offices.
Muth Electric plans to move its headquarters to the former Fullerton Lumber building, a Muth official said Monday during a Mitchell Planning and Zoning Commission meeting at City Hall.
The commission unanimously approved Muth Electric’s renovation plan for the property, which is located at 1717 N. Sanborn Blvd. in northern Mitchell
