LifeQuest notes successes in midst of tough fiscal climate
Life makes sense to Robert Goehring and Dennis Brosz, both longtime clients of LifeQuest in Mitchell.Both men have shown that, with some help from LifeQuest and community acceptance, they can support themselves and live independently and productively.
LifeQuest, a private, nonprofit community agency that provides services and support to people with developmental disabilities, held its annual dinner meeting Thursday at the Highland Conference Center in Mitchell and celebrated the personal and financial sacrifices that have helped to make a difference in the lives of hundreds of its clients in the past 51 years.

Survey: Urgent care, arena desired
LifeQuest’s executive director wants to forge some new community partnerships based on the results of a survey that the nonprofit agency recently conducted about Mitchell’s strengths and needs.Officials from LifeQuest, a provider of services and support to people with developmental disabilities, spoke to nearly 100 community businesspeople last fall to gauge their views on the quality of life for all residents of the Mitchell area. The survey results were recently distributed to local officials.

Event marks LifeQuest’s 50th
People served by LifeQuest, as well as relatives, workers, and board members, took in a 280-photo slide show and eight tables of loose photos, newspaper clippings and old newsletters. The visuals celebrated the history of the Mitchell based nonprofit service, which helps people with disabilities acquire new life skills and lead more meaningful lives.
