A 99-year-old Mitchell home that once had an uncertain future could soon be added to the National Register of Historic Places.
Tim and Glenna Horton are applying to have their house at 520 E. Sixth Ave. designated as a historic property. They received the blessing Wednesday of the local Historic Preservation Commission, which is allowed to give input on the application.
