Man pleads not guilty in accidental shooting case, leaves jail on bond

“I was being real dumb and I just killed my friend.” According to a police report, those were the words spoken by 21-yearold Burke native William “Will” Davis to a 911 operator. Matt Montag, 19, was killed when he was struck in the chest by a shotgun blast at a rented home in Mitchell, authorities say.
