The Mitchell High School girls’ fastpitch softball team dropped a pair of games to Sioux Falls Roosevelt Monday at Cadwell Park, losing 4-0 in the first game and 5-3 in the second game.
“That’s a good team, and it’s easy to see why they’re battling for the “A” championship every year,” Mitchell coach Jim Misiaszek said of Roosevelt. “They have a heck of a program down there, and to play in front of a big crowd like we did today and show our community how far we’ve come in such a short time, that was a treat to do that. The girls played really well today.”
