RAPID CITY — Maj. Rodney “Buck” DeWeese, of the South Dakota Civil Air Patrol, was recently presented with the Air Line Pilots Association’s International Superior Airmanship Award for his handling of a serious incident after takeoff in Hawaii.
SIOUX FALLS — The South Dakota Wing of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) was activated this morning for the search of a missing airplane, according to a CAP news release.
The missing aircraft left Chamberlain Airport en-route to Millard Airport near Omaha, Neb., at about 5 p.m. Sunday. The aircraft is described as white with a red stripe, PA-24 Comanche, N8675P.
