There were three piles of warrants sitting on a table outside Grace Murphy’s office Friday.
The 50 or 60 warrants in the piles are just a small portion of the approximately 2,900 waiting to be processed in Davison County.
A warrant is an order from a judge requiring a sheriff or other officer to arrest someone and bring them to court to answer a charge.
The Davison County commissioners continued fine-tuning the 2011 budget Tuesday during their regular meeting at the courthouse in Mitchell.
With the assistance of Sheriff David Miles and Jail Administrator Don Radel, the commissioners made some snips that were satisfactory to both offices.
