Indeed, it appears that in this Christmas season of 2010, we are living in the dark night of the American soul. With the “Citizens United vs. Federal Elections Commission” decision of the U.S. Supreme Court passed last January, our political system was given into the hands of the large corporations, among them the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which now has the right to dispense an unlimited amount of money into political campaigns as an expression of their “right of free speech.”

Kristi and Stephanie have a few similarities but big differences.
Kristi owns and works a ranch with her family. Like John Thune, she will live in South Dakota. Stephanie lives in D.C. and owns a house in South Dakota.
Kristi and her husband, Bryon, have three children. He owns and works the family business. Stephanie has one child and her husband, Max, lobbies Congress (conflict of interest like Linda Daschle) and is a divorced father of four.
Dave Andrews spent more than two years in the 1970s playing the role of roadie for Holocaust, a regional rock band.
Reflecting on those good times — when nights were late and adventures common — got Andrews thinking: How can he bring local musicians of yore together to play music and swap stories of days gone by?
