OUR VIEW: MTI’s many projects great for city, region
A euphoria spread about town last week as Dakota Wesleyan University announced an $11.5 million project to build a new health sciences center on campus. That’s great news, and we look forward to the groundbreaking next month.
More great news comes from Mitchell’s other post-secondary institution, Mitchell Technical Institute, which this week opened its new 70,000-square-foot Campus Center on its thriving Spruce Street campus along Interstate 90.

Trailer teaches technical career benefits
Students stood shoulder-to-shoulder inside Mitchell Technical Institute’s energy trailer Thursday and heard Outreach Trainer Jimmie Nicolaus promote the benefits of a technical career.The 53-foot-long mobile classroom display — one of two trailers formerly used by the Science on the Move program — will remain at MHS through today. It was taken out of storage and put on the road to show that technical careers can be interesting, fun and lucrative.
