“The Postal Service plays a critical role in our state’s economy and our way of life, and I don’t want the USPS to make potentially painful and permanent changes before we finish our work on postal reform,” Johnson said.
USPS service is hard to replace in rural South Dakota. Numerous rural and town residents have commented that the carriers and the postmasters give their all when it comes to our roads and our postal needs. The postmasters are the small town’s trusted source of information.

HURON — An ongoing study by the U.S. Postal Service could impact the speed of mail delivery in some areas of South Dakota if the Postal Service decides to move several regional mail processing centers into one facility in Sioux Falls.
