VERMILLION — The University of South Dakota football team is hoping to bounce back from its tough loss last week as it takes on Western Illinois for its homecoming game at 2 p.m. Saturday in Vermillion.
SIOUX FALLS — Mitchell natives Jason and Justin Greenway each carried the ball six times as Augustana dominated Minnesota-Crookston 61-0 in college football action Saturday in Sioux Falls.
Jason Greenway tallied 85 yards on the ground, including a 60-yard touchdown, while his twin brother Justin Greenway recorded 26 yards rushing. Both are true freshmen.

SIOUX FALLS — So far, the transition from NAIA Division II to the NCAA Division II has gone smoothly for the University of Sioux Falls men’s basketball team.
USF is in its third and final year of NCAA DII transition and will compete as a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference beginning in the fall. As a part of the transition process, the team is not eligible for postseason play this year.
University of Sioux Falls senior men’s basketball players Matt Malloy and Eric Tisby were partially reinstated Friday by coach Chris Johnson.
However, Malloy, a Parkston native, and Tisby rejected the reinstatement offer late this afternoon, according to USF Sports Information Director Matt Stull.
SIOUX FALLS (AP) — A University of Sioux Falls basketball player suspended from the team after being charged with drunken driving pleaded guilty Thursday to driving under the influence.
The judge gave Matt Malloy two years of probation.
ROME, Ga. (AP) — Tom Yaremko hit the right upright in the first quarter and the left upright in the second. Then with the NAIA title on the line, the Carroll College kicker was dead on in the fourth quarter.
Yaremko made a 22-yard field goal with 7:47 left and the Montana school snapped Sioux Falls’ record-tying 42-game winning streak with a 10-7 victory Saturday.
