Over-38 state tournament in Canova to kick off 
CANOVA — The fourth annual over-38 state baseball tournament starts today in Canova.
Eight teams from across the state play in Canova today through Sunday.
In the tournament, players must be 38 or older, be a resident of South Dakota or on a South Dakota amateur baseball roster and use only wood bats.

Hanson, Avon clash in Week 2 of 2010 football schedule 
The Avon football team will get its chance at redemption when it plays Hanson at the Beavers’ new stadium in the second week of the regular season this fall.
That is one of the highlighted area matchups on the high school football schedule for the year. The football schedules were recently posted on the South Dakota High School Association’s website.
