Hanson, Avon clash in Week 2 of 2010 football schedule PressPass

K/WL, Mount Vernon, Freeman girls and Wagner, C/S, Mustang boys win region titles The Mount Vernon track and field team was confident entering Thursday’s Region 5B meet at Joe Quintal Field. The Mustang boys entered the meet with the most athletes (24) of any team they would face and the girls have been coming on strong as the season neared its end. Whatever the strength may have been, both took full advantage. The Mustangs boys’ team scored 185 team points to run away from the field and the girls’ squad tallied a total of 130 points as Mount Vernon swept the team championships.
