Hanson, Avon clash in Week 2 of 2010 football schedule
The Avon football team will get its chance at redemption when it plays Hanson at the Beavers’ new stadium in the second week of the regular season this fall.
That is one of the highlighted area matchups on the high school football schedule for the year. The football schedules were recently posted on the South Dakota High School Association’s website.

Bridgewater, Emery close in on date for consolidation
School officials in Bridgewater and Emery are preparing for the merger of the two districts to take effect July 1. Superintendent Jason Bailey, who has been serving both districts for five or six years, continues work on a staffing plan, budget and bus routes. Four teachers have left, and some of those positions won’t be filled. That will save the new district about $150,000, he said.
