Armour looks at $40,000 project at lake PressPass

ARMOUR — Armour residents could have a new bridge over part of Lake Alcazar, completing the trail around the lake, as soon as this summer.
City officials are working on a roughly $40,000 project to build the 70-foot-long bridge that will connect users over a gap in the peninsula on the seven-acre lake east of Lions Park, Mayor Travis Sparks said.
A crushed rock trail runs around the lake, extended shore line and on the peninsula separating the lake’s two sides. The trail stops at a gap between the peninsula and extended shore on the southeast side, according to a project map.
