On June 26, the planning committee held a public meeting on proposed changes in the city zoning code. The main and only change discussed for the revised code was to allow alcohol sales on-sale in neighborhood shopping district. About 15 citizens attended the meeting, speaking out or showing their disapproval of this change. Every district in the zoning code allows alcohol sales except neighborhood shopping.
