USD women’s basketball team makes WBI semifinals VERMILLION (AP) — The University of South Dakota women’s basketball team has moved into the semifinals of the Women’s Basketball Invitational. The Coyotes beat Lamar 71-48 in the quarterfinals on Sunday. USD will host a semifinal matchup with McNeese State on Thursday night. If the Coyotes win they will play at either Pennsylvania or Detroit in the championship next weekend.

DES MOINES, Iowa — Two South Dakota natives are still alive for an NCAA national wrestling championship. Wagner native Robert Kokesh and Webster native Logan Storley both won two matches Thursday in the 174-pound weight class on the first day at the NCAA Division I national wrestling tournament.
