I understand he even gets more money than Munsen, but I think Young has an ad in the paper for eye care. Isn’t coaching high school basketball a full-time job with practice and games? How can he also give eye care?

With family and friends watching the Mitchell native play for an NBA title, Mike Miller didn’t disappoint. Miller shot 7-of-8 from 3-point land and scored 23 points in 23 minutes to help the Miami Heat defeat Oklahoma City 121-106 in Game 5 to claim the NBA title with a 4-1 series win.

Mitchell boys’ coach Tom Young shares expectations for Kernels’ future
Tom Young said he still feels like the new guy. The Mitchell boys’ basketball coach who was hired in April spoke to about 35 people at a Rotary Club meeting Thursday at the Ramada Inn in Mitchell. Despite his age of 55, and the 20 years he’s spent coaching basketball, Young said it’s been a strange experience getting back into coaching after a one-year absence.
