Is tourism important for getting Mitchell’s name known and on the map? Yes, it sort of makes us famous. Is tourism making us rich? No, it is not, but it does add something to our economy. I don’t want to see it go away but I am hesitant to spend millions of public dollars with no outlook of payback.
