Joe Hofer, Mitchell

Joseph “Joe” Hofer, 80, Mitchell, died Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Avera St. Benedict Hospital, Parkston.

He was born on Nov. 17, 1932.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, Mitchell. Burial will be in Servicemen’s Memorial Cemetery, Mitchell.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bittner Funeral Chapel, Mitchell.

Dear Norma and all of your family, How very sad I was to hear of Joe's passing. I have so many warm memories of him, as I'm sure you do. I don't believe I ever saw him without his big smile. He was such a "good guy". My parents had a great deal of respect for him (and you, too, Norma). I know he has a special place in heaven along side his loved ones. He left our world a better place. I know that he suffered so much after the electric accident, but kept a positive attitude. I send my condolences to all of you. May the many memories you have keep him forever in your hearts.
