Lila Jones, 68, Huron, died Thursday, March 14, 2013, at home.
She was born on May 23, 1944.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, Huron. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Kuhler Funeral Home, Huron. Lila was born at Miller to Wilbur and Evelyn (Allgaier) Jones. She graduated from Miller High School in 1962. She graduated from Mitchell Technical Institute with a LPN degree. She later graduated from Aberdeen School of Commerce. She worked at St. John’s Hospital, Huron, as a LPN. She worked at the Beadle County CHN Office for 23 years, retiring in 2008.
Lila was most proud of her family. She loved to crochet, reading, and being with and cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events.
Grateful for sharing Lila’s life are her two daughters: Robin (Tom) McCool-Deneke, Rapid City; and Tara (Jeff) McCormick, Mitchell; her grandchildren, Allyx, LexyJo and Hunter Deneke; and Nathan, Carter and Allison McCormick; one sister, LaRita Monroe, Hamilton, Mont.; and one brother, Larry (Paula) Jones, Yankton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, LeRoy.
