Isabella R. Grohmann, 75, Mitchell, died Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital, Mitchell.
She was born on April 13, 1937.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Will Funeral Chapel, MItchell. Burial will be in Serviceman’s Memorial Cemetery, Mitchell.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral chapel.
Isabella Regina Grohmann was born in Ethan to Adolph and Elizabeth (Weber) Kurtenbach.
She attended Ethan schools and graduated from Ethan High School.
On July 15, 1957, she married Arnold Grohmann and they made their home in Mitchell.
She worked for Armour Creamery, Mitchell Retirement Home and was a certified co-driver for Marquardt Trucking out of Yankton and spent time with Arnold on the road.
Grateful for sharing her life were her children: Donna (Neal) Bierman, Avon; Diane (Mike) Nedved, Mount Vernon; Glenn Grohmann, Fulton; and Gene (Jayne) Grohmann, Sioux Falls; brothers and sisters: Dorothy (Charles) Otto, North St. Paul, Minn.; Clarence (De) Kurtenbach, Norfolk, Neb.; Shirley Robertson, Mitchell; Eddy (Nancy Jo) Kurtenbach, Hoyt Lakes, Minn.; and Kathy (Arnold) Suhr, Mitchell; a brother-in-law, Frank Cross, Parkston; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2010 and three sisters.
