Magdalene “Maggie” Mary Lurken Betsinger, 90, Owatonna, Minn., died Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the Hospice House in Owatonna.

Magdalene “Maggie” Mary Lurken Betsinger, 90, Owatonna, Minn., died Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the Hospice House in Owatonna.

She was born on Sept. 22, 1922.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Owatonna, with the Rev. Edward McGrath officiating. Burial will be in Owatonna Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Brick-Meger Funeral Home, Owatonna, with a 7 p.m. rosary.

Maggie was born in Steele County to Albert and Ludmilla (Seykora) Granowski.

Maggie married William Lurken on July 3, 1945.

Bill died Feb. 2, 1976.

Maggie married Lester Betsinger on Aug. 6, 1982.

Les died March 25, 1990.

Maggie worked at the Owatonna Canning Company from 1950 to her retirement. She greatly enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

Her life interests included baking, embroidery, sewing and photography.

Survivors include her daughters: Shirley (Frank) Lubben, Texas; and Sally (Bill) Alkire, Florida; her sons: Bill (Linda) Lurken, South Dakota; and Gary (Monica) Lurken, Owatonna; stepsons: Robert Betsinger, Illinois; Russell (Joanie) Betsinger, Minnesota; William (Karyl) Betsinger, Minnesota; and Richard (Pat) Betsinger, Minnesota; stepdaughter, Nancy (Emery) Eckert, Iowa; 11 grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren, 36 stepgrandchildren, numerous great- and great-great-stepgrandchildren; her sisters: Betty Anderson, Owatonna; and Clara (Norbert) Schroeder, Owatonna; and many nieces and nephews.

Maggie was preceded in death by both husbands, William and Lester; brother, Edward Granowski; sisters: Agnes, Helen, Margaret, Mary and Dorothy; stepsons: Lester, Theodore, James, Virgil and Jerry Betsinger; step- daughters: Mary Ann Greenwood and Betty Lou Finkelson.
