Jane McCarthy, 67, San Diego, formerly of Ethan, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at her home after a 10-year battle with cancer.
She was born on Aug. 21, 1945.
She was born in Parkston to Eddie and Hilda Freidel.
Survivors include her husband, Jim; sons: Greg and Jeff; daughters-in-law: Gina and Shawna; grandchildren: Bryan, Jayden, Hayley and Chloe; her constant companion, Merfe the Pomeranian; sisters: Bonnie Cronkhite and JoAnn Ingram; and brother, Keith Freidel; also, many nieces, nephews and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Shirley Wermers; and brother, Glen Freidel.
