Lois Vinz, Sioux Falls

Lois Vinz, 71, of Sioux Falls, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at her home.

She was born June 4, 1941.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Kinzley Funeral Home, Salem. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Lois Sarnowski was born to Clarence and Eula (Mars) Sarnowski in Beacher Island, Colo. Lois obtained an associate’s degree in business from Dakota State University. Lois most recently enjoyed her contribution as a senior companion assisting others in need. Lois enjoyed and kept herself busy with crocheting and sewing a variety of items, which she freely shared with others.

Survivors include her five daughters: Dorlea Knizley of Sandpoint, Idaho, Chris (Matt) Johnson of Minot, N.D., Betty Williams of Viborg, Pam (Scott) Weber of Emery, and Ruth (Warren) Rath of Fredrick, Colo.; 17 grandchildren and 19 greatgrandchildren; five sisters and three brothers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Fred.
