Joel Clarence Hohn, 64, Parkston, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at Avera Bormann Manor, Parkston.

Joel Clarence Hohn, 64, Parkston, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at Avera Bormann Manor, Parkston.

He was born on April 20, 1948.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Parkston. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church.

Arrangements are by Koehn Brothers Funeral Home, Parkston.

Joel Clarence Hohn was born to Raymond and Ella (Koster) Hohn in Parkston.

He attended Ss. Peter and Paul Parochial School in Dimock, and later Sacred Heart Parochial School in Parkston.

After his schooling, he began working on various farms in the Parkston area and later worked on a road construction crew.

Joel enjoyed working on bicycles and mowing yards and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

He is survived by six siblings: Edna Gebel and husband, Kenneth of Missouri Valley, Iowa; Melvin Hohn and wife, Beverly of Sterling, Ill.; Delbert Hohn of Mitchell; Dennis Hohn and Geraldine of Mitchell; Donna Steiner and husband, Richard of Parkston; and Karen Mountain of Gillette, Wyo.; a very good friend, Bob; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Larry Mountain.
