Wayne Tilberg, 79 of Ethan, died Thursday, Dec, 27, 2012, at Sanford University Medical Center, Sioux Falls.
He was born April 23, 1933.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, Ethan. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Ethan.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Will Funeral Chapel.
Wayne Tilberg, son of Vivian and Elmina (Hanner) Tilberg, was born in rural Ethan. He attended country school in rural Ethan and later graduated from Ethan High School. In December of 1953, Wayne entered the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Ethan. He was employed at Rozum Motor Company for a short time.
He was united in marriage with Melva Jo Kisler on Feb. 21, 1954, in Mitchell. Wayne farmed northeast of Ethan his entire life.
Wayne was a member of the United Methodist Church in Ethan. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Farmers State Bank in Parkston for 31 years.
