Clara Pommer, Trenton, Mo.

Clara Pommer, 85, Trenton, Mo., formerly of Emery, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton.

She was born on Feb. 15, 1927.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bittner Funeral Chapel, Mitchell. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Alexandria.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Thursday.

She was born at Ethan to Nels and Anna (Wiberg) Nelson.

She graduated from Mitchell High School and then on June 16, 1946, she married Harold Pommer at Emery.

They farmed in the Farmer area for several years.

They resided in Pierre and Huron for a short time, and then moved in 1968 to Trenton, Mo., where they made their home. They owned and operated the Pommer-Davis Paint Store.

She was a member of Presbyterian Church and Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her daughter, Loretta McDonald; two grandsons: Mark McDonald and Kevin (Shelly) McDonald, all of Huron; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ella Peterson, Mitchell and a special friend, Bob Meinicke, Trenton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; son-in-law, Gary McDonald; three brothers and three sisters.

Memorials may be made in her name to the charity of choice.
