Henrietta Bultje, 91, Stickney, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Avera Brady Health and Rehab, Mitchell.

Henrietta Bultje, 91, Stickney, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Avera Brady Health and Rehab, Mitchell.

She was born on Oct. 27, 1921.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday

Reformed Church, Aurora Center. Burial will be in Aurora Center Cemetery, Aurora Center.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the church with a 6 p.m. prayer service.

Arrangements are under the direction of Koehn Brothers Funeral Home, Parkston.

Henrietta Bultje was born to John and Anna (Newman) Postma in Platte.

She was united in marriage to Harold Bultje on Feb. 8, 1939, at her parents’ home.

After farming for a short time near Harrison, the couple moved to Denver, where they lived until Harold was called to serve his country in the U.S. Army.

At this time, they moved back to South Dakota where they farmed until Harold’s passing in 1965.

Henrietta moved into Aurora Center, where she worked for Hansum Store and later helped take care of people as a social worker.

She was a very loving and dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was a member of the Ladies Aid, helped the 4-H girls, enjoyed playing cards, board games and gardening, and always welcomed others to her home to eat and spend a little time visiting.

She is survived by five children: Gerald Bultje and wife Donna, Mount Vernon; Dennis Bultje, Golden, Colo.; Linda Vreugdenhil and husband Garry, Concord, N.C.; Beverly Minnich and husband Gary, Sioux Falls; and Douglas Bultje and wife Tammy, Plankinton; 17 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 26 great-great-grandchildren, one brother, Richard Postma and wife Mert, Platte; and two sisters: Gladys Miller and husband Lawrence; and Dorothy Brandle, all of Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold; a daughter, Donna Overweg; a granddaughter, Dawn Bultje; three brothers: Don, Harold and Robert; and a sister, Lillian.
