Dorothy Anderson, 95, Mitchell, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at Eaglecrest Assisted Living, Roseville, Minn., under hospice care.
Dorothy Anderson, 95, Mitchell, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at Eaglecrest Assisted Living, Roseville, Minn., under hospice care.
She was born on Feb. 6, 1917.
Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church, Mitchell. Burial will be in Servicemen’s Memorial Cemetery, Mitchell. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bittner Funeral Chapel, Mitchell.
Dorothy Luverne Anderson was born to Peter and Mary (Lanning) Pierson in Wegdahl, Minn., the fourth of seven children.
She was united in marriage to Ted O. Anderson on Dec. 25, 1942, in Granite Falls, Minn.
In 1951 they moved to Mitchell, where they raised two children.
Grateful and honored for having shared her life are her daughter: Patti Dion and husband Matt; daughter-in-law: Anne Anderson; grandchildren: Sara Dion, Abbi Dion and husband Joshua Rosenzweig; Emilie Hunt and husband Bryon; Nathan Anderson and wife Kori; Drew Anderson; two great-grandchildren: Isaac Anderson; and Samuel Hunt; and sister, Mavis Lewis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother; her four sisters; her husband; and her beloved son, Lee.
