Betty Jean Sellner, 79, Mitchell, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at her residence.

She was born on Dec. 5, 1932.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Will Funeral Chapel, Mitchell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral chapel.
Betty Jean Brunz, daughter of Arnold and Marcella Brunz, was born in Mankato, Minn.
She grew up on the family farm south of Good Thunder, Minn.
Betty graduated from Good Thunder High School in 1951.
She was united in marriage with Joe Sellner on Feb. 18, 1952, in Mankato, Minn.
The couple made their home on a farm near Searles, Minn. Later, they bought a farm near New Ulm, Minn., where she worked at Hardies.
They moved to Mitchell in 2003.
Betty loved her dogs and horses. She enjoyed showing and riding. She was a member of AQHA and the Arabian Association. Betty was also a longtime member of the New Ulm Saddle Club.
She loved her Sunday trips to Al’s Oasis in Oacoma for lunch and visiting with friends.
Betty was grateful to have made so many good friends over her 79 years of life and will be missed dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; and her parents.
