Audrey Hirsch, 60, of Mitchell, died Monday, Nov.19, 2012, at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital, Mitchell.
She was born Sept. 29, 1952.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Will Funeral Chapel, Mitchell. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Mitchell, following the funeral service.
Visitation, with a prayer service, will be at 7 p.m. today at Pukwana Free Lutheran Church, Pukwana.
Audrey was born to Walter Sr. and Esther (Giedd) Stock in Wagner.
She attended rural school and graduated from Wagner High School. She married Maynard Hirsch on Dec. 19, 1970. They had five children.
She worked as a medical aid and housekeeper in nursing homes in Mitchell and Chamberlain. She had a special talent for working around older people.
Audrey had a very strong faith; she read and studied her Bible daily. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, mowing the lawn and spending time with her family, friends and her puppies.
She was well known for her clean house and her special Kuchen recipe. She was a very caring person who always thought of the welfare of others rather than herself, even till the very end.
Grateful to have shared in her life are her husband, Maynard, Mitchell; her five children: Michael Hirsch, Mitchell; Melissa (Cory) Tschetter, Bridgewater; Alan (Jennifer) Hirsch, Watertown; Shawn (Joni) Hirsch, Mitchell; Philip Hirsch and his fiancé, Bobby, Mitchell; 11 grandchildren: Jayden, Jasmine, Landen, Rage, Kenny, Angel, Andrew, Brooke, Evan, Brielle and Rui; her sister, Betty; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and four brothers.
