Anita Kathleen Neugebauer, 83, Dimock, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at her home near Dimock.
Anita Kathleen Neugebauer, 83, Dimock, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at her home near Dimock.
She was born on Aug. 1, 1929.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Dimock . Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the church with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service.
Arrangements are under the direction of Koehn Brothers Funeral Home, Parkston.
Anita Kathleen Neugebauer was born to William and Mary (Loos) Maeschen on the family farm near Ethan.
She attended country school near Ethan through the eighth grade and then stayed home to help her parents on the farm.
She was united in marriage to Everett Neugebauer on June 4, 1951, in Mitchell. Together the couple farmed and raised their family near Dimock .
Anita was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Dimock where she was an active member of the Altar Society and church choir. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and cooking.
She is survived by her five sons: Lester Neugebauer and wife, Angela of Mitchell; Curtis Neugebauer and wife, Deb of Dimock; Kelly Neugebauer and wife, Debbie of Dimock; Marty Neugebauer and wife, Tricia of Dimock; and Darin Neugebauer and wife, Michelle of Ethan; two daughters: Gena Clendening and husband, Jeff of Ethan; and Kristi Smith and husband, Shane of Winchester, Va.; 15 grandchildren, Larissa and Allison Neugebauer of Mitchell; Gabriel Neugebauer of Dimock; Kelsey Roth and husband, Duane of Parkston; Miranda Neugebauer of Emery; Garrett and Ryder Clendening of Ethan; Slayton, Cecelia, Porter and Kash Neugebauer of Dimock; Bryce and Riley Neugebauer of Ethan; and Shannon and Kristian Smith of Winchester; two great-grandchildren: Bently and Charles Roth; a sister, Lavonne Hohn of Mitchell; and two brothers: Norman Maeschen and wife, Bonnie of Mitchell; and Gary Maeschen and wife, Vi of Prescott Valley, Ariz.
