William Joseph Grochow, 77, Parkston, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at Avera St. Benedict Hospital, Parkston.
William Joseph Grochow, 77, Parkston, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at Avera St. Benedict Hospital, Parkston.
He was born on Oct. 9, 1935.
Private family graveside services will be in Rest Lawn Cemetery, Huron.
Arrangements are under the direction of Koehn Brothers Funeral Home, Parkston.
William Joseph Grochow was born to William and Ethel (Pechie) Grochow in Argyle, Minn.
He attended Argyle High School and graduated from there in 1953.
He was united in marriage to Lenora Swanson on July 12, 1956.
They lived in Minnesota and South Dakota, where William worked in meat production and sales.
In 1994, he retired and moved to Parkston.
He is survived by his wife, Lenora, Parkston; three children: Brad (Shelly) Grochow, Mitchell; DelRay Grochow, Mitchell; and Pam (Ryan) Titze, Mitchell; seven grandchildren: Ryan, Madyson, Kade, Lonie Ann, Jackie, Billy and Danielle; a sister, Eileen Horejsh, Thief River Falls, Minn.; and four brothers: Leo Grochow, Cloquet, Minn.; Donald (Shirley) Grochow, Thief River Falls; Willis (Janice) Grochow, Warren, Minn.; and Caroll (Sandy) Grochow, Newport, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons: Lonnie and William; and a brother, George.
