Alice Schmidt, Mitchell

Alice Schmidt, 86, Mitchell, formerly of Parkston, died Friday, March 23, 2012, at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital, Mitchell.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Mitchell. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Parkston.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church with a 6 p.m. Scripture service.

It makes me so sad to hear of the passing of my Aunt Alice. I have so many great memories of her. They go all the way back to when they used to live on the farm near Parkston. I loved going out to the farm and just hanging out or playing "Scavenger Hunt" with my cousins. Any time I would see Aunt Alice there was always a hug and she always asked how I was doing. Her laugh was infectious and so was her love. She will be missed by many but especially by me. I will always remember her as we shared the same birth date. I love you Aunt Alice and I thank you for the awesome memories. Your neice, Valerie Schmidt.
