Jerry Vaad, 71, Oacoma, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, in Rochester, Minn.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Oacoma Community Center, Oacoma. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Oacoma. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday at Hickey Funeral Chapel, Chamberlain. There will be a 6 p.m. prayer service Monday at St. Joseph’s Indian School Recreation Center gym followed by “messages to Jerry” Balloon release at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family will direct donations to Beacon Ministries Native American orphanage project, Sanford Diabetes Research and families of patients suffering from Amyloidosis.
