Scott Walter Bruns, 35, Rapid City, formerly of Mitchell, died Monday, March 21, 2011, at his home in Rapid City.
Scott Walter Bruns, 35, Rapid City, formerly of Mitchell, died Monday, March 21, 2011, at his home in Rapid City.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Real Life Church, Rapid City, with the Rev. Sean McPhearson officiating. Burial will be in Pine Lawn Memorial Park, Rapid City. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home, Rapid City.
He was born on Aug. 22, 1974, in Sioux Falls to Walter Leon and Dolores (Kingsbury) Bruns.
He grew up and attended schools in Sioux Falls.
He later received a GED and attended Dakota Wesleyan University, Mitchell, with a double major in mathematics and English.
On Nov. 16, 1997, he married Jennifer Denke in the Black Hills.
They lived in various places, including Sioux Falls, Euless, Texas; and Mitchell, before moving to Rapid City in August 2008.
He worked at NEW, Rapid City, and was co-owner/operator of a daycare in Mitchell with his wife.
He is survived by his wife, his children: Ivy, Branden, Boston and Ian, all of Rapid City; a son, Skyler Larsen, Sioux Falls; and his mother, Rapid City.
He was preceded in death by his father and twin sisters: Kathy Ann and Angela Kay.
