Erma Leone Janssen, 71, De Smet, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, in Spearfish. Funeral services will be a 10:30 a.m. today at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, De Smet, with the Rev. Shane Stevens officiating. Burial will be in De Smet Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson Henry Funeral Home, Arlington.
She was born on Jan. 21, 1939, in Mitchell to William and Madeline (Van Hecke) Morgan.
She attended Letcher High School, graduating in 1957.
On Feb. 24, 1959, she married John Janssen.
They moved to De Smet.
She co-owned and managed the Loftus Store in De Smet with her daughter. She is survived by two sons: Dennis and Doug and wife Julianna, all of De Smet; five daughters: Pam Spader and husband Kevin; and B r i t t a ni Wilkinson and husband Mark, all of De Smet; Peg Moffitt and husband Mark, Sioux Falls; Deb Larson and husband Jason, Grand Forks, N.D.; and Bobbi Jill Ellingson and husband Wayne, Brandon; 23 grandchildren, a sister Margaret Zoss and husband Chuck, Yankton; two brothers, Bill Morgan and George Morgan and wife Sherry, all of Mitchell; and a sister-in-law, Anna Mae Seefeldt, Rapid City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a brother, Patrick.
