Matthew Joseph Montag, 19, rural Big Stone City, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, in Mitchell.

Matthew Joseph Montag, 19, rural Big Stone City, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, in Mitchell.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Milbank, with the Rev. Gary DeRouchey officiating. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Milbank. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Friday at the church with a 7 p.m. Scripture and rosary service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church Saturday.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mundwiler Funeral Home, Milbank.

He was born on Dec. 5, 1990, in Rapid City to Larry and Anne (Pillatzki) Montag.

He graduated from Milbank High School in 2009 and was currently attending Mitchell Technical Institute in the power lineman program.

He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.

He is survived by his parents, six sisters and two brothers: Beth Snaza and husband Darin; and Lindsay Henrich and husband Luke, all of Milbank; Laura Dean and husband Jeremy, Hill City; Kristen Timmermans and husband Jeris, Sioux Falls; and Jacob, Carey, Kyle and Kelsey Montag, all of rural Big Stone City; his maternal grandfather, Bernard Pillatzki, Bellingham, Minn.; 13 nieces and nephews and many aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and his maternal grandmother.
