Graveside services will be on Wednesday, at the White River Cemetery in White River at 1 p.m. She was born June 5, 1925 at White River to D.C. and Wilhemina (Brunson) Bryan. She married Jerry White on March 11, 1949 in Salem. They lived in various places in South Dakota raising their seven children.
She earned a bachelor of art degree in Commercial Art from the University of South Dakota. She continued to paint, design and teach art throughout her lifetime.
She is survived by her six children: Constance Hoffman of Burke; Lucy Fisher and Robert, O’Neill, Neb.; Peggy Cowell and husband Rick of Kanaranzie, Minn.; William and wife Barbara, of Herrick; Gigi Glover and husband Harvey of Burke; and Marlene Miles of Gregory; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; eight brothers and sisters: Charles Bryan and wife JoAnn; Patty Ann Harris; Larry Bryan and wife Diane; Willard Bryan and wife Cleota; Tony Bryan and wife Barb; and Sharon Lettilier; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997; a daughter Joan Carol; her parents; a brother Donald Bryan; and a sister Lola Herman.
