Clifford L. Johnson, 81, Geddes, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, at his home. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at United Methodist Church, Geddes. Burial will be in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery, Geddes. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Koehn Brothers Funeral Chapel, Geddes, with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service.

He was born on Oct. 15, 1928, in Bury Hospital, Geddes, to Melvin and Margaret (Nelson) Johnson.
He attended country school in Charles Mix County and Geddes Public School.
On June 6, 1955, he married Ruth Chambers at United Methodist Church in Geddes.
He lived and farmed in the Geddes area his entire life.
He was a member of United Methodist Church and a lifelong member of Farmers Union.
He is survived by his wife, four children: Larry and wife Ann, Geddes; David and wife Cherry; and Wanda Zard, all of Mitchell; and Beverly Leibel and husband Tim, Wagner; 15 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two brothers: Joe and wife Laura, Platte; and Norman, Sacramento, Calif.; his mother-in-law, Blanche Chambers, Pierre; and a brother-in-law: Carl Chambers and wife Judy, Blunt.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law, JoAnne.
