Steven Joseph Wagner, 53, Gillette, Wyo., died Saturday, July 24, 2010. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Family Life Church, Gillette, with the Rev. Martin Crump officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pisgah Cemetery, Gillette. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Walker Funeral Home, Gillette.

Steven Joseph Wagner, 53, Gillette, Wyo., died Saturday, July 24, 2010.

He was born on May 9, 1957, in Mitchell to Wilfred and Ruby (Lentz) Wagner.

He grew up and graduated from high school in Mitchell.

He graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design with a bachelor’s degree.

He also graduated from Gillette College welding program and became an instructor.

He used his welding skills to design and construct a variety of art pieces and furniture.

He worked as a supervisor at North Antelope Rochelle Mine for the past 22 years.

On June 26, 1983, he married Julie Donahue in Silver City.

He is survived by his wife, his children: Jessica, Trisha and Brady; one granddaughter, four brothers: Douglas and wife Beverly, Gillette; Dennis and wife Mary, West Palm Beach, Fla.; Gregory and wife Kristie, Lexington, Neb.; and Ronald and wife Linda, Champaign, Ill.; and two sisters: Cynthia, Minneapolis; and Peggy Holt, Tucson, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial has been established in his name at Walker Funeral Home, 410 Medical Arts Court, Gillette, Wyo., 82716.
